Username and password
How do I login?
You can login from the homepage by entering your username and password in the appropriate fields or you can click on the 'login' link in the top navigation in all the pages.
I forgot my ID / Password. What should I do?
Click on the 'Forgot Password' link in the home page and enter your e-mail address you used at the time of registration. Click on 'Get Password' button. A new password will be mailed to you immediately.
How do I change my password?
  • Login to MuslimMatrimonial.com. In 'My Matrimony' in the left menu, under 'My Profile' there is a 'Change Password' link. Click on the link.
  • Enter your current password.
  • Enter your new password and confirm the same.
  • Click on 'Change Password' button.
  • Your new password will be immediately activated. Please use the new password the next time you login.
Why is the message 'Invalid Username or Incorrect Password' being displayed during log in?
The password you have entered might be wrong or you might have the caps lock 'On'. Please check whether the password is entered in the correct case (Upper or Lower). Please ensure that there are no spaces in the Username typed. For example, it should be ahmad and not ah mad. If you have forgotten your password, please click on the 'Forgot Password' link to retrieve the same.

How do I upgrade my profile?
You can upgrade your profile by becoming a paid member of MuslimMatrimonial.com. We accept online payments through credit card / debit card / net banking. Online payment is the easiest, fastest and secure mode of payment. Payment options
I've made the payment but my profile is still in the free category. Why?
We make sure that every profile is upgraded as soon as we receive payment. If you have made the payment and your profile is still in the free category, please send your complete payment details to support@muslimmatrimonial.com.
How long will it take to upgrade my profile, once I make the payment?
We will upgrade your profile as soon as we receive your payment. An e-mail confirming your up gradation will be sent to you.

Online payment
What is online payment and how do I make an online payment?
Online payment is the easiest and fastest mode of payment. You can make payments through the Internet using your net banking /credit card /debit card. Click here to make payments online.
I'm not able to make the online payment through my card even though it's a valid one? Why?
Make sure you are entering the correct credit / debit / net-banking card number and expiry date. If you continue to have problems, please call your credit / debit / net-banking issuing bank and make sure your card has sufficient funds. If you continue to experience the same problem contact our office.
Is online payment secure?
Yes! It is secure to make online payments. Our payment gateway provider adopts the SSL (Secured Socket Layer) technology, an internationally proven widely accepted technology.

Register free profile
How do I add my profile?
Click on the register link. Complete the form by providing all the necessary details and submit. Your information will be sent for validation before other members can view it. Profile validation may take up to 24 hours. Meanwhile you can only search and create a favourite list of members you wish to contact after your profile is validated.
Why do you take 24 hrs for validation?
Validation of profiles is done manually. Our support team meticulously validates each and every profile carefully on specific criterion before it is added to our database. Hence, it takes 24 hrs to validate all the profiles that are being added on a particular day.
On what criteria is the validation done?
Almost every word counts. We categorically ignore profiles that are submitted by underage persons, and profiles that contain abusive content. We try to maintain the highest quality in our database.
What should I enter in the profile description field?
This is where you reveal yourself - your personality, your likes and dislikes, your educational, career and personal interests, and expectations about your partner/friend. Try to give a clear self-description and enter your expectations clearly and completely. A good description will always fetch instant responses.

Delete/Hide profile
How do I delete my profile?
To delete your profile, login using your 'Username' and 'Password'. Go to 'My Matrimony' and in the left navigation bar, under 'My Profile' section click on 'Hide/Delete Profile' link. Select your reason for deletion and click on the 'Delete Now' button.
Is it possible to restore the deleted profile?
Your profile once deleted from our database cannot be restored/reactivated.
What is hide profile?
If you haven't found your life partner but want to put off your search for a couple of months, do not delete your profile. Instead, you can temporarily hide your profile since profiles once deleted cannot be restored.

How can I search for suitable profiles?
There are a variety of search options:

  • What is Quick Search?
    This is the simplest search that searches across 5 basic parameters.
    What is Advanced Search?
    Advanced Search is the most comprehensive search that searches across all criteria.
    What is Members Online?
    Members Online locates members who are currently online across all domains.
    What is Members Online Search?
    Members Online Search locates members who are currently online and who match your search criteria.
    What is Saved Search(s)?
    Saved Search(s) is search based on previously saved search criteria (up to 3).
    Username Search
    With Username Search you can enter a member's username and directly view the member's profile.
    I want my profile to be listed on the top of the search results. What should I do for that?
    Paid members can login frequently to get their profile listed at the top of the search results. If you are a free member, upgrade your membership to a paid one now.
    I get the error 'No matching records found' while searching for the profiles. Why is that so?
    Keep an open mind while searching for profiles and enter a very generic category. Try not to be too specific or you might miss out on good profiles. Just in case you do not get any results, try a different search criterion.

    Add to Favorites / Ignore / Block Profiles
    How do I Add to Favorites profiles?
    Login and do a profile search. If you are interested in a profile in the search results, click on the 'Add to Favorites' option. This will add the profile to your Add to Favorites List. You can also add a comment while book-marking the profiles. Profiles book-marked by you will be displayed with image and your comments during the search and view operations.
    How do I Ignore profiles?
    After logging into your account and searching for profiles if you find a profile unsuitable for you, you can click on the 'Ignore' option. It will be added to your Ignore List. You can also add a comment while ignoring the profiles. Profiles ignored by you will be displayed with image and comments during your search and view operations.
    How do I Block profiles?
    After logging into your account and searching for profiles if you find a profile unsuitable for you, you can click on the 'Block Member' option. It will be added to your Block List. This means these members will not be able to contact you or send a salaam in you. Also only paid members can use this feature.Profiles blocked by you will be displayed with image and comments during your search and view operations.
    How do I view/edit bookmarked profiles?
    Login and go to your 'Add to Favorites List' under 'My Lists' in the left menu. You can view and edit the bookmarked members on that page.
    How do I view/edit ignored profiles?
    Login and click on the 'Ignore List' under 'My Lists' in the left menu. You can view and edit the ignored members on that page.
    How do I view/edit blocked profiles?
    Login and click on the 'Block List' under 'My Lists' in the left menu. You can view and edit the blocked members on that page.

    Free and non-member
    What are the advantages of free membership?
    A free membership is ideal for starters. As a free member, you can:
  • Post your profile.
  • Add your photo to it. (Optional)

  • Receive MatchWatch alerts of matching profiles.
  • Receive e-mail alerts when a member sends you either an Send a Salaam or a Personalized Message.
  • I'm a non-member. Can I contact a member?
    As a non-member you can only search for profiles registered on our portal. But to contact them you have to register as a member.
    Free members can only:
  • Post profile.
  • Add photo.
  •  
  • Send Send a Salaam
  • Receive MatchWatch alerts of matching profiles.
  • Receive e-mail alerts when a member sends them an Send a Salaam or a Personalized Message.
  • Paid members have an advantage over free members as they can:
  • Send Unlimited Personalized Messages to anyone they choose.
  • Chat one-to-one with members.
  • Access members contact information.
  • How do I get in touch with members I like?
    If you are a free member you can send Send a Salaam. And if you're a paid member you can have access to member's contact information and contact them directly. You can also send unlimited Personalized Messages and Chat with anyone you like.
    How will I know if a member has accepted/declined my interest?
    You will be notified via e-mail if a member accepts or declines your interest.
    Will my contact information be revealed to the member I have expressed my interest in?
    No. Only an automated message expressing your interest will be sent to the member.

    Photo
    How do I add a photo to my profile?
    Login using your 'Username' and 'Password.' This will take you to 'My Matrimony'. Click on 'Photo' in the Checklist. It will take you to a separate page where you can add your photo. Click on 'Add Photo' link, then click on the 'Browse' button and select the digital photo (in JPG /GIF format) you wish to add to your profile. Click on 'Add Photo' to add the photo to your profile. The photo will be added as your main photo. You are allowed to add up to 3 photos (this is inclusive of the main photo).
    I am encountering problems in adding my digital photo to my profile. What do I do?
    Please send your photo as an e-mail attachment to photo@muslimmatrimonial.com in JPG / GIF format, along with your username and password. Please mention which photo should be added as the main photo. We will add the photo to your profile and send you the confirmation.
    I do not have a digital photo. How do I add my photo?
    If you do not have a digital (scanned) photo you can send your photo to any of our offices, with your username and password. Please mention which photo should be added as the main photo. We will scan the photo and upload it for you. This service is absolutely FREE. If you want your photo to be returned to you, please include a self-addressed envelope with prepaid postage.
    Can I add more than one photo to my profile?
    Yes. You can add a maximum of 3 photos to your profile.
    Can I choose which photo should be displayed as the Main Photo in my profile?
    Yes. You can manage your photos and choose what should be displayed as your main photo in your profile.
    How do I change a photo in my profile?
    Login using your 'Username' and 'Password'. This will take you to 'My Matrimony'. In this page there is a provision called 'Manage Photo'. Click on that button to add or replace a photograph.
    I got an error while uploading my photo. What could be the reason?
    You could have got an error if your file is not in JPG /GIF format or if the file size of the photo is more than 300 KB. We accept digital photo files only in the JPG / GIF format and less than 300 KB in size.
    In what size should I upload my digital photo?
    The maximum size acceptable for a digital photo is 300 KB. If your photo is more than 300 KB, please email it to photo@muslimmatrimonial.com with your username and password. We will reduce the image size and upload it for you, absolutely FREE.
    How do I protect my photo?
    Only paid members can protect their photographs. Click on 'Manage photo' in 'My Matrimony'. Say 'yes' to the protect photo option. Set a password to the photograph you want to be protected and submit. Well now your photo is protected and only those to whom you have given the password will be able to view the photograph.
    How do I view protected photos?
    If a photo prompts for a password to be viewed when you try to view it, it means that this member has protected his/her photo for privacy reasons. To view a protected photo, you need a photo password. Contact the member and get the photo password to view the photo.
    I've forgotten my photo password. How do I retrieve it?
    You cannot retrieve it but you can get a new password. To get a new password, login using your 'Username' and 'Password'. Click on 'Protect Photo' link. Select the 'Yes' button against 'Protect Photo'. Enter your new photo password (different from profile password) and re-enter it for confirmation. Click on the 'Submit' button.
    How to unprotect my photo and make it viewable?
    To unprotect your photo and make it viewable by all:
    • Visit http://www.muslimmatrimonial.com
    • Login using your 'Username' and 'Password'
    • Click on 'Manage photo' in 'My Matrimony'.
    • Select the 'No' button against 'Protect Photo'. Click on the 'Submit' button.

    Partner preference
    What is partner preference?
    Partner preference is a feature that helps you to define your ideal partner and set your suitability criteria. You will be intimated by e-mail everyday about new profiles that match your criteria. Through this feature you would receive information about members suiting your expectations regularly. This option is available to all members.
    What is MatchWatch?
    Based on your partner preference, you will receive suitable matches everyday through Match Watch Mailers. The mail will have a list of all new members who match your criteria.
    What is Photo MatchWatch?
    Based on your partner preference, you will receive suitable matches with photos only once a week through e-mail. The mail will have a list of all new members who have posted their photo and who match your criteria.

    Replies and responses
    I'm a paid member. Can I contact any member?
    Yes! You can contact both free and paid members.
    What are 'Send a Salaam Sent' and 'Send a Salaam Received '?
    'Send a Salaam Sent' folder contains list of messages that you have sent to other members. 'Send a Salaam Received' folder contains list of messages that you have received from other members. To view the list of Send a Salaam Sent/Received, login using your 'Username' and 'Password' Click on the 'Send a Salaam Sent' or 'Send a Salaam Received' in 'My Matrimony.'
    What is 'Personalized Messages Sent and Received'?
    This is a feature available only to the paid members. Through this you can send and receive messages from the members you are interested in.
    Why am I getting the following message when I try to access my 'Received Messages' - 'Either you have been logged off or the session if timed out'?
    If you have logged in and the above error message is displayed, make sure that cookies are enabled in your browser.
    I'm a free member. If any member is contacting me, where do I view their response to my profile?
    Messages will be instantly sent to your Send a Salaam or Mail received folder in the 'My Matrimony section. Login to view your messages. Intimation that you have received a message from a member will also be sent to your e-mail address.
    I did not receive any response for my profile. Why?
    On an average, around 1% of the profiles are entered with misspelled e-mail address or wrong e-mail address. If you have not received any e-mail from our system, please login using your 'Username' and 'Password' on the home page and click on the modify profile option to correct the e-mail address. Also, check whether you have given a clear self-description. Try to enter your expectations clearly and completely. Add your photo to your profile as profiles with photos get a better response. Take full advantage of your paid membership and search frequently for matching profiles and contact them.
    I do not want to receive messages from certain members. What do I do?
    To stop a member from sending messages to you, use the 'Block Member' feature, which is available when you're viewing their full profile. You can also see a list of the members you have blocked by clicking on the 'Block List' in the left navigation bar in the 'My Matrimony.' If you want to unblock a member, click on the 'Unblock Member' link. You must be a paid member to use this feature.
    What are filters? How do I apply them?
    Filters help you select the type of members you want to be contacted by. For example, if you select unmarried, only unmarried members can contact you. If you enter more than 25, only members who are above 25 years can contact you. If you select America, only members living in America can contact you. Although filters help you get only relevant response, we recommend you set a broad preference because filters will restrict the number of members viewing your profile.

    To apply filters, go to 'My Matrimony' and in the left navigation bar click on 'My Profile'. Under 'My Profile', click on 'Apply Filters' and in that page select the type of members you want to be contacted by.
